Link Blitz: Flu Edition

Have you ever played the game, "Never Never Have I Ever?"

It's a group game, where a person says something they've never done, and everyone who has done it either loses a point or must get up and switch seats with someone (kind of like Fruit Basket).

Three things I always got people out with were:

Never never have I ever owned high heels. (My husband is 5'6", so this worked out well.)
Never never have I ever dyed my hair.
Never never have I ever had the flu...

...until now.

Tuesday night and Wednesday I had a nasty sore throat that my Zicam just couldn't conquer. Add stuffy nose Wednesday evening. Then cue me screaming "Are you freaking kidding me?!" as I destroy my seven-year-no-puking streak by upchucking that apple I ate into my sink.*

24 years without the flu... I'm hoping I recover quickly because I have plans for this weekend! (EVERYONE FEEL BAD FOR ME THANKS)

  1. You know, if I hadn't gotten pregnant this year and gone through the whole morning sickness thing, I might feel bad for your throwing up episode. Post-morning sickness, I just want to laugh at you. Does that make me an awful person?

    1. Your comment made me think of this, due to the comparison going on...

    2. Haha! Well, for the first three months it certainly felt like a disease.

Charlie, I do hope you feel better soon. Despite my laughter at your throwing up, I don't want you to feel crappy. So feel better!

    3. I didn't know you were pregnant, Kristy! Congratulations! Do you know what you're having? (or had, since I have no idea whether you've given birth already or not?)

    4. Thanks! We're having a boy. I'm not due until Halloween-ish (so I'm still in the heavenly I'm-not-sick-and-I'm-not-really-huge-yet second trimester).

  2. So sorry you have the flu, Charlie. I've only had it a few times, and I'm almost *gulp* twice your age.

  3. Seriously? Never had the flu? Then I suspect it sucks extra bad. I hope you're over it and got to do your fun plans!

And I SWEAR I already followed your blog! Apologies!

  4. Hope you feel better soon!

I'd never never had flu until I was about 33 - worse than that, it was at Christmas and we were hosting, so I was in bed, feverish, and everyone else was downstairs having a great time. I couldn't eat more than the tiniest bit of turkey.
