April #WIPmadness Check-in!

Heyo friends.

I'm hosting #WIPmadness for April! For those of you who don't know, #WIPmadness is a writing hashtag on Twitter. Anyone can join, but even if you don't have Twitter, feel free to participate and let the rest of us know how your writing is doing!

Spring is in the air, and with spring comes new opportunities.

I'm really excited to be a writer right now. I'm two chapters away from finishing the third book in my The Paper Magician trilogy, I'm starting edits for The Glass Magician by the end of the month, and I'll be getting another book ready for submission in the meantime. After all that, I'm finally returning to Empire of Cranes and Spiders, my Eastern romantic fantasy, for some more revisions (the sucker is just too long/wordy). I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on it again.

On top of all that, I have two new agent sisters and I'm having a blast getting to know them better!

So, what are you working on this month? What projects do you have "blooming" in your metaphorical gardens, writing or otherwise?

  1. I want to get my copy through TBD (nearly $14) but I can't believe Amazons version is jut $8.95! If the shipping fees weren't so high I would switch. Congrats on all your progress and you are one busy bee Charlie.

  3. Thanks for hosting this month, Charlie! I'm working on converting my debut novel, LOSING FAITH, into a screenplay. I'd like to figure out the form of screenplays a bit better so I can write more of them. So far it's going really well. I think I'm close to halfway done.

  4. A good Monday morning to all. Thanks, Charlie, for hosting #WIPmadness this month. I don't know how much actual writing I'm going to get done in what's left of April. I'll continue to pick away at the developing story, of course, but I put aside a number of projects during March that I need to spend some time with now. It's great to keep in touch here and see what everyone else is accomplishing. :)

  5. Thanks for hosting! This month I plan to attack the rough draft of the second book in the goddess series. Printing out the pages, have a red pen, and mini sticky notes close at hand. I hope to do a quick read, make notes(no editing) and then get down to revising!

  6. Thanks for hosting, and congrats on being so close to done your current project! Fantastic! I'm spending some time dabbling with poetry this month, and I'm having fun with some "less traditional" forms. Planning to post a mini-poem each day this month. As for the novel-writing, I'm in the mulling, brainstorming, pre-writing phase of a new project -- hope to start writing soon. :)

  7. I'm glad to hear things are going well in your writing neck of the woods.

As for me, I'm a little behind on writing my last book for my Shadow Jumpers trilogy but I've got some of the basic brainstorming done. I'm about to publish the last in my Confessions series under my Rayven Godchild name and I have another story I'm working on to publish under that name very soon.

  8. Hope those last two chapters and the revisions go well. ^_^

I'm hoping to start writing a new book this month, just blogged about it, oddly enough. It's kind of a staggering thought, but... bwa ha ha.
